Family finds a creative way to support DS Action…

Alisa and Tom Lawrie are parents to an amazing 7 year-old, son, with Down syndrome (Trisomy 21).  In May 2012, they achieved their goal of becoming triathletes, by participating in the San Diego International Triathlon.  They have now decided to take their new passion and incorporate it with a creative way to raise awareness for individuals with Trisomy 21.

As stated on the new website they have created, “When we crossed the finish line together, we were hooked, and so decided to start training for our next race.  To give us additional motivation, we also resolved to raise money for our favorite charity, DS Action.”

Please visit their website at www.tri4tri21.org.  You can support their fundraising efforts by connecting to their donation page through StayClassy.org at http://www.stayclassy.org/fundraise?fcid=206618.

Thank you Alisa & Tom!  We appreciate all that you do to support DS Action and our community.
